Strategic Partnering

Do You Want to Lessen the Speed Bumps of Change?

It's no longer businesses as usual during times of change. Any substantial change effort that is not well designed, well executed and well lead from the start will probably fail. How many change initiatives have started out with great fanfare only to be shelved a year or so later? That's money, time, resources and employee commitment wasted.

You Can Cut The Risk Of Failure!

Strategic partnering - acquiring sound advice and support through challenging change especially for leaders who have been thrust into positions of high expectation, high visibility and high payoff - is the ultimate level of executive coaching.

We work with change leaders who are tasked with mission critical challenges. For example: bringing a new product or service to market; restructuring departments to respond to increased customer demands; moving into an alliance for joint programming with another agency; or changing the performance management system for greater individual and group accountability.

Contact us for a free consultation and let us show you how strategic partnering can enhance your change leader's capability to:

  • Jump-starts the change effort with inspiring leadership.
  • Create and solidify a culture of change within their area of influence.
  • Reinforces commitment when things get tough and people start losing interest.
  • Deal with the personal and professional ups and downs of being a change leader.
  • Make quicker, better decisions that keep the organization on a steady focused path.
  • Gain support of key stakeholders – their peers, partners, staff, superiors, and customers.
  • Keeps the momentum going especially during times of changing deadlines and high stress.

Coaching Story

Legislative mandated change in the operations of a workforce development agency was causing coordination problems within the executive team and among the program directors. As a result outcome measurements were not being met. Using interview data and a leader effectiveness profile, pinpointed three key coaching issues with the executive director: communication style, management of priorities and decision authority.

Results

  • Better accountability because of clarity around each department's area of responsibility and authority.
  • Less daily bickering and more focused effort. As one director said: "I no longer dread coming to work."
  • Everyone on the executive team "on the same page" because of agreement on mission, goals and priorities.
